Fathers Day

I decided to do something special for my Father's Day. I know he loves oysters, but hasn't had any in a while. I went to the beach yesterday and manage to collect 22 giant whoppers. I purchased a proper shucking knife, and shucked them for him today.  It made a nice appetizer

Whe had king Crab Legs for out main course. They were sweet and tasty. Thank you Stew Lenard's (and Dad for steaming them)!

First Harvest of Oysters

This is my my first time harvesting oysters. Boy were they good. The little guy in the photo was out of size, but I didn't realize he way there until I schucked them. My next investment will be a good quality oyster knife. They were very sweet. I used beet and horseraddish for a sause. It complimented the oysters very well. There is nothing like eating something within 1 hour of it being havested.
